YourIP.my was originally an experiment regarding the country code top level domains. Given it has the word "my" and my in English is used a lot, in a sense it is a backwards reverse domain hack. So in an algorithm is trying to decided if it has the word in it or not.

Granted this actually probably hurts the domain in overall world wide value though, as it is much harder for a domain from the country code of Malaysia to rank globally.
